The third-party we used for the contest allows entries through Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, so even if you don’t want to have a Facebook account, you can still enter to win.

Tina, You could ask your favorite shop owner to take a photo of you using his/her or one of the sales clerks cell phones, and then they can email it to you. I’m sure they’d be happy to help you out (especially for the chance for you to win $500 to their shop)!

Hi Terry, You can take a photo inside (or directly outside) any local quilt, fabric, or sewing shop to enter the contest. Our list of “participating shops” are toolkit shops who are doing extra-special marketing around Local Quilt Shop Day, but there are still hundreds of shops around the country that are taking part and are not listed here.

Unfortunately, I live at least an hour away from my nearest quilt shop. It is really sad that this is all on a week day as I am sure the majority of us have to work. I do shop online at many of the shops you have posted though. Next time can you all have it on a weekend? You may have a larger in-store turnout.

We didn’t choose the date, but rather we stayed with the same date as last year’s event (a date established by others, not FabShop). This year we simply promoted it far in advance. We chose to change it for next year, when it will be on Saturday, January 25.

That said, many shops are staying open later to celebrate today. I understand that your LQS is too far too drive after work today, but I’m quite sure she’d be happy to have you visit this weekend. Thanks for supporting your LQS!

  Thank you for the idea for next year. Several of us are already planning a day event to go to 3 shops. Kind of a round trip for the day!
